No, Grove cases are not 100% drop proof. Being made of natural materials, your case may not survive an impact. This is true of any case made of bamboo or wood from any brand... we just happen to be very transparent about it. Our products are of the highest quality, but this does not neccesarily relate to durability on drops.
Your Grove case will protect your phone from normal wear and tear but is not guaranteed against drops of any kind. However, we do offer our Case Replacement Program to try to help you out.
Because natural material varies greatly, sometimes the case survives really harsh drops onto concrete, other times they break from the slightest drop onto carpet. This depends on the unpredictable chance of where it hits and the variation in the material. It can often be more about those random factors than the severity of the impact and that is why we say our cases won't survive drops, even though they often do. Although we cannot guarantee it, there have been numerous incidents where iPhones/iPads have been saved by our case. In fact, we do not know of a single incident where an iPhone/iPad has been ruined in our case.
Think of it as a motorcycle helmet: might break in a crash but will save your iPhone/iPad's life. = )
