Bamboo or wood cases - ours included - may not be the best choice for people prone to dropping their phones. Grove cases are not 100% drop proof. Being made with natural materials, the cases may not survive an impact. This is true of any case made of bamboo or wood (even hard plastics) from any brand. We try to be transparent about it, because we want our customers to be making the right choice for them. Our products are of the highest quality, but this does not necessarily relate to durability or drops. For us, our cases are more like works of art than heavy duty cases ready for rough conditions. [If you are prone to dropping your phone we suggest cases made of silicone or rubber such as Otterbox.]
That being said, we’ve engineered our new model of case for the iPhone 4/4s and iPhone 5 to be as durable as possible. We can’t guarantee the case against drops, although it is possible for it to survive many standard drops along with some gentle, daily wear-and-tear. In the event that your case breaks from a drop, we offer a case replacement program. For any manufacturing defects, our new case is covered under our standard warranty from the date that the case is shipped.
