Our products are 100% designed and made by us in Portland, Oregon USA. We DONT get parts made cheaply overseas and then just assemble them here as a marketing gimick… everything is made in Oregon… period. In fact, the partners are running the machinery and doing much of the hand work themselves. By taking direct control of our production we find ways to do things better, more responsibly, and healthier.
We utilize sustainable materials in our production process. Only hand rubbed natural finishes are used because we dont like being around toxic chemicals and dont want you exposed to them either. Our natural oil/wax blend is rated safe for children’s wooden toys. Bamboo of course is a rapidly renewable timber substitute.
We try to be a responsible company in the simplest sense by operating in a way which we can feel good about. Our packaging is made from manufacturing waste and wood shavings from our friends at Integration Workshop. By simply making a choice to not take advantage of cheap overseas labor, we help our local economy.
We don’t define ourselves with big, broad, overused rhetoric claiming to be something. We do things the way we feel is right and do it the best we can and people can make their own judgments. Pretty simple.
