I ordered it in October and received it a few weeks ago...it was worth the wait! I love the design and feel of it and that it smells like freshly sanded wood :). The openings for my headphones and charger fit perfectly. What you guys do is awesome and I'm proud to support your company!
Oh man, I almost fell over when I saw my new ipad3 case. It caught me with its beautiful simplicity and amazing design. I looked at literally hundreds of cases, and nothing, I repeat, nothing even came close to the wicked style and perfect functionality of your product. I will care for the case as dearly as I did for the iPad before I had it. I want to have it forever, even after the iPad has become obsolete. I will pass this wonderful creation down to my unborn children as a family heirloom, I love it that much. Thank you for creating a product that completely does what it is supposed to and looks so damn good doing it. Hooray for your company and it's vision!
I've had my bamboo case for almost 1.5 yrs and I've received hundreds of compliments, really, hundreds! I had the mushroom design and I live in Kennett Square PA which boasts to be the mushroom capitol of the world. Sadly, after two drops and a three year old's curiosity wood glue wouldn't put humpty dumpty back together again. (Although it was a good fix for awhile) I miss my case terribly and my naked phone is cold. I wouldn't consider replacing until the design is fortified a bit more, especially the little thin piece at the bottom. Signed, Happy and Sad.
It was worth shipping this iPhone case from halfway around the world! I received loads of compliments for the unique cover and the quality of this is definitely good! I also appreciate that it's handmade individually (except for the laser engraving portion, of course) and came with a nice handwritten note from the awesome people at Grove. Looking forward to seeing more new and beautiful products!

This is my first Grove product. The look and build quality were even higher than I expected. Can not recommend it enough, I really love this sleeve ! I am using it with an iPad 3rd generation with an Apple Smart Cover.
Loving my new bamboo iphone case. Had it less than a month and I can't tell you how many comments I have gotten about it. On the subway, at work, in meetings etc. Been spreading the Grove name plenty here in NYC just on it's fine craftmanship and uniqueness. Can't say I have seen another one out here yet.
I adore my iPhone case. It's elegant and distinctive and I get comments and envious glances all the time. I am very careful with my phone and even though I take great care with it the case started to break after about 7 months. I liked it so much that I bought another one to replace it. They are somewhat fragile and they are expensive enough that I'm not sure I'd buy a third one but I will treasure it whil it lasts.
I bought the plain bamboo case for my iphone 4s before i even bought the phone. it really is beautiful. i get comments on it all the time. i love the look and feel of it. i love that it's made in the US. specifically portland. however, i purchased this case november of 2011. it is currently august of 2012 and i have several cracks in the case. many cracks around the speaker/plug holes, a couple cracks around the volume buttons, and 3 cracks running up the backside. it is currently being held together with gorilla glue. also, for the first few months, the top and bottom sections didn't line up on one side, because the routing for the ridges on the sides of the phone wasn't wide enough on one side. i'm not sure if it's because i live in alaska, and these cases don't do well in dry climates, or if i just got a bad product. i absolutely love this case, but for the money i dropped on it, you think it should hold together for, at the very least, more than a year. in conclusion: grove, i love you, but i'm disappointed. (still love you)
This is easily the coolest iPhone protection available. :D Would happily buy another and would recommend to anyone!
After a long wait (mine was on backorder ) I finally got my Skateback and it's awesome! Great product, and great costumer service. I was alerted promptly about my Skateback being on backorder and I was offered a few different options on how to resolve the issue. I opted to wait because I really wanted the Calm color combo. Once it arrived I even had a nice hand-written "thanks for waiting" message on my invoice. I do wish the instructions were a bit more detailed. I was afraid of pulling off the adhesive paper because I thought I was pulling off the whole adhesive (as if it were tap) and finally got the guts to just pull it off to find the glimmering adhesive underneath. Perhaps if you said a word or two about just pulling off the brown paper, I dunno. Anyways, great product. Awesome company with a great business plan. Cheers!
First I must say that the Grove iPhone 4 case is something particularly beautiful and I am approached again and again. I appreciate your work and your ideas very much. I love my almost two-year-old Grove Case still like the first day. I have cherished and cared for it and never let it fall. Only now it's broken anyway. The narrow strip above the dock connector is broken into its component parts. Probably exerted by pressing the Home button with the thumb too much pressure on the narrow part of the dock connector. The bezel is no longer stable enough and the case is no longer available. Too bad! For $ 90 I expected more since I've always treated the case gently. But I had a great time with the iPhone case! I love the idea of the case. It's a great case. BUT, my case only lasted a year. I don't abuse my case, I would say that I'm more careful than most... I never dropped it, always kept it in my pocket when I wasn't using it and about a year later it has fallen to pieces. I love the design and uniqueness of the case, but it just isn't that sturdy.
Beautifully crafted and a nice variety of designs to choose from. I love that this is a local company and that everything is made right here in this city! There is no way around the fact that this case will break when you drop it. I'm clumsy and have a three year old, so that's what happened to mine. I tried supergluing it, which worked ok until I dropped it again. The earphone outlet is also too small for some cords so I had to take it on an off a lot, which resulted in another crack. But the quality of product, the feel of bamboo in your hand (instead of plastic or rubber) is great. When I grow up I'll have another.
I LOVE my skateback and I've even had my coworkers buy it they love it so much! Everyone always takes my phone and says "man, that's awesome!" Only down side is I WISH it was water proof. I'm deathly afraid I'm going to get water on it and ruin it.
I cannot say enough about Grove. This is a company that stands behind its products, has excellent customer service, and produces amazing phone cases! If you are considering a Grove case - go ahead and buy it, you will not be sorry!!!
It don't have enought space for me to use "beats" headphones. If you guys can change the design, it become perfect.
and I have a lot of cases! I am an iPhone accessory addict and have about a half-dozen cases for my 4s. My Grove case is the only one that I get compliments on. Everywhere I go I get asked about where I bought it and how to get one. The cases are fragile. I broke my first case after dropping it from about three feet onto the pavement. I liked the case so much though that I bought the same one and thanks to Grove's great replacement policy only had to pay half price! Great product and a great company. Keep up the good work
I get lots of comments on it. Like the way it looks and feels. I can't give it 5 stars because it's a bit on the fragile side. But I knew that going in and I still wanted one. Great company to deal with. I wish your review system allowed image uploads.
I love it. Everyone else loves it. I was going to keep it forever ... Until, WHOOPSY. I dropped it. No damage to the phone but the case broke in two pieces. I have not given up on your wonderful sustainable company with innovative ideas. I'd like to try again with another bamboo case for my 4S iPhone or see if you can repair mine. What's my next step?
